We stayed at the Campus hotel, The Statler Hotel. This is one of the finest establishments I have ever stayed at. The University has its own reknown Hospitality Degree Program, and the students train right there at the Statler, in all aspects of the Hotel Industry. The service was impeccable. The room fresh, clean, with no trace of the previous guests. And check out the view from our window:
Is this not the most beautiful view one could hope for?

My nephew was a catcher for the Cornell Big Red Baseball team. This creepy-looking little bear is their mascot. He would have terrified me had I seen him when I was a little kid.

Here is the mascot annoying the baseball team.

Meet Herakles. He's a big buffed out dude who stands watch near the Statler Hotel. The students always make sure he wears a condom.

Carl and I getting ready to cross the bridge over the Cascadilla Gorge that separates the college campus from Collegetown, where the kids go on weekends for great food and partytime. The gorge has swiftly moving ice cold water. Its a beautiful campus to hike across.

The tulip beds outside the Statler Hotel. I just can't resist tulips.
As you all know, I love old Neon signs. I couldn't resist a photograph of this one.

There are all sorts of falls, gorges, and rivers in upstate New York. One of the most beautiful areas is Buttermilk Falls. The motto of this place is, "Ithaca is Gorges." It has gorges, and it is gorgeous. So its a very appropriate motto.

The forests, hills, and gorges of Ithaca, New York make this area definitely one of God's greatest creations.
